Integra Painters Warranty
Professional Craftsmanship, Backed by Peace of Mind

At Integra Painters of Washington LLC, we stand behind the quality of our work with a workmanship warranty designed to provide peace of mind while setting clear expectations. Most painted surfaces are covered by a two-year limited workmanship warranty, beginning on the date of project completion. This warranty applies solely to the original purchaser named in the original agreement and is non-transferable.

For the substrates listed below, we warrant against peeling, cracking, or blistering caused by defective surface preparation or application, subject to certain exceptions.

For interior walls and ceilings

Ceilings must remain free of moisture intrusion, smoke damage, or condensation buildup. Walls must not be subjected to impact, abrasion, or misuse, as determined by the company. Damage caused by hanging fixtures, adhesive hooks, or improper cleaning voids coverage.

Interior trim, doors, cabinets, and decorative panels

This includes baseboards, crown molding, window casings, built-ins, and cabinetry. Normal wear in high-contact areas such as around handles, baseboards near foot traffic, and areas subject to abrasion or moisture is excluded. Damage from chemical cleaners, standing water, steam, or misuse—as determined by the company—is not covered.

All exterior siding and soffits

This warranty applies only to vertical, properly maintained surfaces. Failures caused by water intrusion, overgrown vegetation, contact with sprinklers, or improper drainage are excluded. Natural resin bleed, wood movement, or substrate failure voids the warranty.

Exterior trim, fascia, and architectural details

These include corner boards, window and door trim, and fascia boards. Damage due to roof runoff, clogged gutters, or standing water is not covered. Natural wood defects such as knots, sap bleed, and splitting are excluded. Any damage or misuse, as determined by the company, will void coverage.

Exterior doors, including entry and garage doors

Paint failures caused by door movement, direct sun or rain exposure, or neglect are not covered. The use of metal tools or abrasive cleaners will void the warranty. Damage due to misuse, as determined by the company, is excluded.

Decks, porch floors, stairs, and railings are not covered under this warranty.

Due to constant exposure to UV, water, and foot traffic, coatings on these horizontal surfaces are inherently prone to early failure and must be maintained on a seasonal schedule. No workmanship warranty is offered for these surfaces.

Fences are also excluded from coverage due to exposure to ground moisture, sun, and ongoing substrate movement. While we apply high-quality finishes, the natural expansion and contraction of fencing material make failure more likely over time.

Coatings applied to galvanized metal, rusted steel, cast iron, previously varnished surfaces, or waxed finishes

These substrates are not warrantied, due to adhesion challenges and substrate instability. We may agree to paint such surfaces when requested, but the client acknowledges that no warranty will apply.

Coverage

This warranty covers only those workmanship-related defects that result in coating failure such as peeling, flaking, cracking, or blistering due to improper preparation or application. It does not cover failure of the paint or coating material itself. If an issue appears to be product-related, Integra Painters will coordinate an inspection with a manufacturer's representative, but is not responsible for product failures.

Eligibility

To remain eligible for this warranty, the client must have paid the original contract in full, retained a copy of the agreement, allowed reasonable access for inspection and repair, and maintained all coated surfaces according to Integra Painters’ care recommendations. Warranty repairs will be limited to the specific area of failure and will be performed only to the level of preparation and application originally agreed upon.

Additional Exclusions

This warranty does not cover ordinary wear and tear, neglect, abuse, failure of a previous coating, structural movement or defects, water intrusion, mold or mildew, fire, flood, extreme weather, vandalism, or any condition or misuse—as determined by the company—beyond our control.

Exclusivity and Modification

This limited warranty is the sole express warranty offered by Integra Painters of Washington LLC and supersedes all other warranties, express or implied. Liability is strictly limited to the original contract value. This warranty may only be modified in writing and signed by all parties.

Care & Maintenance Guidelines

To ensure the longevity of your painted surfaces and maintain warranty eligibility, all coated areas must be properly maintained.

  • Interior Walls & Ceilings: Clean only with a soft cloth or sponge and water or mild detergent. Avoid abrasive scrubbing tools, “magic erasers,” and harsh chemicals. Refrain from hanging heavy or adhesive-backed items directly on the wall. Address scuffs or chips with touch-up paint promptly.

  • Interior Trim, Doors, Cabinets & Panels: Dust regularly and wipe clean with a damp, non-abrasive cloth. Avoid strong solvents, bleach, degreasers, and standing water. Do not place wet items against these surfaces. Touch up minor chips or scratches quickly to avoid peeling.

  • Exterior Siding & Soffits: Rinse gently with a garden hose or soft-wash system twice per year to remove dirt, pollen, and mildew. Do not pressure wash. Trim back shrubs and trees, redirect sprinklers, and keep gutters clean to prevent runoff and moisture damage.

  • Exterior Trim & Fascia: Inspect annually for signs of water damage, peeling paint, or caulking failure. Keep gutters clean and ensure that water does not collect on or run behind trim boards. Soft wash as needed to remove dirt or mildew.

  • Exterior Doors: Clean with a soft cloth and mild soap. Do not scrub or scrape. Protect from excess sun or rain by using overhangs or sealants. Keep thresholds and weatherstripping in good condition.

  • Decks, Stairs, Railings & Fences: While not covered by warranty, we recommend sweeping debris regularly, avoiding standing water, and recoating as needed—typically every 12–24 months depending on wear and exposure.

  • Metal & Previously Varnished Surfaces: These require special care and frequent inspection. Use only mild detergents and avoid scraping or sanding. Rust, oxidation, or bubbling should be addressed immediately to prevent substrate failure.

Chips, gouges, or damage to any coating system should be touched up as soon as possible. Surfaces that are neglected, improperly cleaned, or exposed to excessive moisture, impact, or abrasion may fail prematurely and void warranty coverage.
